Sainik Schools Central Zone Meet 2007-08
The meet was inaugurated by Hon’ble HRD Minister, Shri Bandhu Terkey on 08 Aug 07.Sainik School Bhubneshwar , Sainik School Nalanda, Sainik School Gopalganj and Sainik School Tilaiya participated in the meet. The Sainik School Tilaiya bagged top position in hockey, volleyball, basketball and football(sub-juniors). The best trophies in English and Hindi debate went to the host school.Mrs. Anpurna Devi was the chief guest on the concluding day i.e. 11 Aug 07. She distributed the prizes to the winners and runners up. The overall champion was awarded to Sainik School Tilaiya. |

60th Independence Day Celebration
60th Independence Day was celebrated with pomp and show at Sainik School Tilaiya. Principal paid tributes to the Immortal Tilaiyans, after which he inaugurated the ante-room-cum- gymnasium and renovated barber shop. An impressive parade was followed by a karate show and equestrian display. Sweets were distributed to the cadets of both Sainik School Tilaiya and the Jai Hind Residential School. |
